(Blowing My) Fuses Again!

February 23, 2014

So now i’m trying to get back to the situation where my code runs immediately on the avr rather than using the bootloader.  I used a copy of what I had thought worked before but of course it didn’t.  I’m away from home so i can’t check my usual programming machine and i don’t want to install avr studio on my laptop – it’s already cr*pped up enough.

Well, the correct fuses for no bootloader are: E2 DB FD

To fix them i had to install avr studio (twice – there’s something wrong with the latest version so i had to go back a version and install a service pack) and reboot a million times.

The AVR studio programming dialog has a fuse section and it was just a matter of un-checking the boot reset fuse.
