Adapting an ethernet library for the olduino

February 24, 2013

This is really pretty hard. basic spi is easy but the rigamarole involved in talking to the enc28j60 is quite elaborate.  I’m still working on the arduino at the moment.  I easily got one of the examples working but the code is all spread out among a bunch of c++ headers and modules with classes.  I’ve gotten to the point where I can let the library code initialize a connection and then i can read and write control registers with a simplified set of routines.  Once I can get initialization done with my own routines I can start to port them to the olduino – that part is usually easy.
